Ring Selection:

Touching a ring will select the ring, and it will highlight to let you know that you have selected it.
If you select an undesired ring, simply raise your finger without dragging and the ring will deselect.

A human finger is larger than a ring, and you need to place the center of your finger over the desired ring.

Selecting the wider end of the ring will produce better results.

Initiating Rotation:

Once you have a ring selected, drag your finger a fingers width in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. The ring will continue with it's programmed rotational value, either 90 or 180 degrees, then stop.

It will remain stationary until you select another ring and rotate it.

As the center ring is small, you will need to put more ARC in your drag.
